Hall and Platt to debate service fees

A HEADto head over service fees between British Airways’ Tiffany Hall and BTI UK’s Mike Platt will top the debating agenda at Business Travel 2000 in Manchester.Hall, BA’s head of UK and Ireland sales, will be representing the airline’s decision to axe commission from the beginning of next year. While Platt, BTI UK’s managing director, will look at whether clients, agents or airlines are better off under the new regime in a session entitled ‘Counting the cost of transaction fees’.
The session is part of the exhibition’s expanded seminar programme which includes 14 sessions on a range of subjects – nearly double previous years.
Seats can be booked at the advance price of £20, saving £10 on the usual price of £30, payable on the day.
During the two-day exhibition on October 4 and 5 at Manchester’s G-Mex Centre, issues such as the safety of business travellers, travel policies, travel portals and keeping tabs on expenses will be discussed by industry experts and travel buyers.
Exhibition manager David Chapple said: “The seminars are the place to gather impartial, practical advice as well as top tips from the experts.”
