West Midlands Co-op finishes store revamp
WEST Midlands Co-op has completed the revamp of its Wolverhampton store as it continues to invest in technology.
The branch has a touch-screen point for viewing and printing late-availability holidays, while a plasma screen displays late deals and is updated via the Internet every three minutes. There is also a choice of 160 holiday destination videos.
West Midlands travel division controller Geoff Hurmson said:”We are expanding our travel division and part of that programme is togive older stores a facelift and to modernise theirfacilities. This is our most advanced travel bureau yet.”
The agency, which has launched a £1 million call centre in Walsall, has already renovated branches in Hawks Green and Wednesfield.
Future plans include the opening next year of three 5,000sq ft stores in Walsall, Cannock and Kidderminster.
