Mattocks steps down from Travelstore.com
TRAVELSTORE.COM is looking for a new chairman following the decision by founderDarryl Mattocks to step down.
Mattocks will stay on the board as a non-executive director. A spokesman for the company said Mattocks felt he had taken the firm as far as he could.
His decision coincides with vice-president of sales and marketing Bill Kirkwood leaving the company to set up a new e-commerce venture unrelated to travel.
Kirkwood joined the e-commerce company in January when his on-line business travel agency Equator-Net was bought by Travelstore.com. He was previously commercial director at Air 2000.
In addition, Travelstore.com is on the verge of securing a new round of funding from an undisclosed source.
