Who offers what
FJORD LINE offers 36 double-bedded four and five-star cabins on the Newcastle to Bergen route. In-cabin facilities include mini-bar, bath robe, toiletries, fruit and a drinks and room service for snacks. A five-star cabin costs from £172 per person one-way until December.
BRITTANY FERRIES offers deluxe cabins on all its ships, with Commodore Class cabins also on Val de Loire, Bretagne and Normandy. Deluxe cabins have a double bed plus two bunk beds. Commodore Class cabins have a double bed in one section and a single bed partitioned off in the ‘living’ area. There is a TV and mini-bar and breakfast and tea is served in the cabin. Commodore Class passengers also get access to a private lounge. Commodore Class cabins on the Portsmouth-St Malo route cost £90 one-way in September, or £125 on the Plymouth-Santander crossing.
P&0 PORTSMOUTH offers a Club Class lounge and Club Cabins on its Portsmouth-Le Havre service and a Club lounge on the fast ferry on the Portsmouth-Cherbourg route. There are also Club cabins on the Portsmouth-Bilbao service. The Club Class lounge costs £7 one way to Cherbourg and £10 one-way to Le Havre. Club Cabins on the Le Havre route cost from £66-£92 per cabin in summer. On the Portsmouth-Bilbao service they cost from £126 per cabin one-way.
STENA LINE offers a Club fare which includes priority loading and access to the Club lounge, with free tea, coffee and biscuits, newspapers and business facilities, with access to fax and photocopier. Available on its HSS fast-ferry service from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire and on the Stena Lynx and traditional ferry operating Fishguard to Rosslare, the cost is £10 per person each way.
DFDS offers Commodore and Commodore De Luxe cabins with two, three or four beds on its routes from Harwich to Hamburg and Esbjerg and from Newcastle to Gothenburg and Amsterdam. A two-berth Commodore De Luxe cabin – usually slightly larger than the Commodore accommodation – costs from £183 per person one-way in September and October on the Newcastle-Gothenburg route.
CONDOR FERRIES offers Club Class on its fast ferries operating from Poole and Weymouth to the Channel Islands. Facilities include reclining leather seats, dedicated steward service, free tea, coffee and soft drinks, Danish pastries and newspapers. The cost is £10 per person each way.
