New service for Meridiana
MERIDIANA, the privately owned Italian airline, will launch a direct daily service from Gatwick to Turin and Catania on October 29.
Both cities will be served by the same flight, leaving Gatwick at 2.15pm, arriving in Turin at 5pm and in Catania at 7.35pm.
The return service will depart Catania at 9.55am and Turin at 12.35pm arriving in Gatwick at 1.15pm.
The route will be operated by an MD82 aircraft featuring 20 business-class seats and 135 economy-class seats.
Passengers will be offered an introductory £79 fare for economy class and a £330 fare for business class to Turin.
A special £139 economy fare to Catania will also be available.
Merdiana expects both destinations to be popular with UK customers.
