Students need encouraging
The letter of the Week (Travel Weekly, October 9) shows lack of time management and staff in Ms Lawrence’s workplace.
She should be aware that students are potential clients. Lunn Poly is a retailer open to the public like any other shop.
Students learn, progress, develop and change. They invest in these courses to forge a career path. This motivation and eagerness needs to be recognised and encouraged.
Every year we struggle to define the work-placement period because the trade is either too busy to take a student, or is going through a calm period.
I suggest you check your job description because I’m sure stacking shelves is one of your “ad-hoc skilled” duties.
