TRAVEL agents congratulated JMC for being one of the few operators prepared to listen to their views.

David Whitaker, Andrews Worldchoice in Camberwell, London said: “We’ve been asked to come up with five good points about JMC.

“We’d like to highlight the panels, the willingness to listen and consider what is being said. The panel is a positive thing but it is not going to bring change quickly. Iperceive innovation but you can’t do that without talking to us.”

Other retailers added that they approved of JMC’s image, but said they should have traded more on the Thomas Cook name, which is respected and trusted by clients.

JohnWells, of Travel Universal Worldchoice in London, said: “In one year it has become a household name, which is incredible.”

Peter Hawke, Travel Experience, Biggin Hill, Kent, added: “I like JMC’s image. But some people still ask who they are. When we tell them they are Thomas Cook, that changes everything.”

Wells pointed out that he felt JMC had deliberately left out the Thomas Cook parentage.

“I don’t think that is necessarily a good thing,” he said.
