VIRGIN Travelstore deputy managing director Ed Sims has been
promoted to MD after just 19 days in the job.
Sims takes over from Ian Brooks, who is believed to be
unhappy with the direction of the travel retailer.
It is believed Brooks wanted virgin.com to remain a purely Internet
business and is currently in discussion with Virgin Group chairman Richard
Branson about other career opportunities.
Brooks was unavailable for comment today.
