Summit adds five-star hotels to Asia portfolio
SUMMIT Hotels and Resorts is expanding its presence in Asia with the addition of two five-star hotels.
Lotte Hotel Cheju on Cheju Island, Korea, and Hotel Borobudur in Jakarta, Indonesia, are the latest independent hotels to join the group owned by US-based technology firm Pegasus Solutions.
It currently has 155 properties located in 125 city centres and major leisure destinations worldwide.
Summit sees the 500-room Lotte Hotel Cheju as one of Korea’s top resort hotels with its sea and mountain views, European-style décor and traditional Korean service.
Facilities include three restaurants offering western, Japanese and Korean cuisine, casino, tennis courts, sauna and a family recreation centre.
The 695-room Hotel Borobudur has recently emerged from a multi-million pound refit.
The hotel now has four bars, five restaurants and enhanced sporting facilities, which include a 50-metre pool, a jogging track and eight tennis courts.
Prices for the Hotel Borobudur start at £90 per person per night for a single room and £173 per person per night for a double room at the Lotte Hotel Cheju.
