Killarney to host meeting

THE IRISH town of Killarney will host Advantage Travel Centres’ 2001 conference.

The destination beat Valencia, which the consortium will now consider as its 2002 venue.

Prices for Killarney have yet to be finalised.

Advantage president Roger Smith said he anticipated between 600 and 650 delegates will attend the event.

“Our last conference in Ireland took place in Ennis five years ago and was one of our most successful conferences,” he said. “I expect similar interest next year.”

Flights will operate to Shannon and Cork from most regional airports with transfer times of 90 and 75 minutes respectively.

Kerry International is the nearest airport but is only served by daily flights from Stansted with Ryanair.

Irish Ferries and Stena Line sea crossings will also be available.
