Wake Up to India campaign will focus on quality facilities
India will be using its new advertising slogan ‘Wake Up to India’ as the theme for this year’s World Travel Market. The new campaign, devised by advertising agency Interfocus, aims to challenge the idea that India is a difficult place to travel by emphasising the quality of its tourist facilities, including first-class hotels, golf courses and high-speed air-conditioned trains.
The India Tourist Office also wants to show that it has more to offer than palaces and temples. The new campaign, which will feature in glossy consumer magazines, will show off India’s pristine beaches and coral islands.
A total of 11 state governments will be present on the stand led by the country’s minister for tourism and culture, Anandh Kumar.
