Cresta looks to increase Italy bookings by 4,000 for 2001
CRESTA is hoping to increase bookings to Italy by 15% next year after claiming it is shedding its image as purely an Italian short-break operator.
Brand manager Ian Lomas said: “It would appear that agents and customers are, at last, recognising Cresta as a specialist throughout Italy. We want to increase sales by 4,000 to 29,000.”
New to the programme is Sicily with flydrives featuring Palermo, Agrigento, Syracuse and Mount Etna and beach holidays in Cefalu, Taormina Mare and Giardini Naxos.
Capacity in Tuscany has also been increased with the number of apartments doubled. Prices to Sicily lead in at £480 for seven nights’ bed and breakfast at the three-star Complesso Antares near Taormina Mare.
Meanwhile, Cresta has joined up with Alitalia to offer discounts of £50 on short breaks to Venice, Rome and Bologna. The offer is for travel between January 1-February 8 and February 19-March 31.
