RF Hotels International has acquired the Hotel Amigo in Brussels. The 183-room, five-star property was purchased for £16m and is the fourth hotel in the chain. A £5m refurbishment programme is scheduled.
n phonelink announces telme press campaign
On-line technology firm Phonelink is spending up to £1m on a press advertising campaign to promote its business and leisure travel agency, TelMe Global Traveller. It is due to run until the end of February. Head of strategy Ian Sinderson claimed the TelMe Global Traveller Web site had gained an average of 1.2m hits a month since its September launch.

Business travel agency The Appointment Group has renewed its partnership with global distribution system supplier Galileo. The new contract is expected to run for three years.
