Report by John Lavabre
BRITISH European is to cease operations between London City
airport and Dublin from January 7.
The airline said the route has not attracted the required
number of passengers or raised the revenue expected, despite having introduced
cheaper initiatives and new flight schedules over the past 18 months. The aircraft
will be used on other more successful networks.
British European is contacting passengers who have
arranged to fly on this route to make alternative arrangements.
