Olympic Holidays plans increase in Greece and Cyprus

OLYMPIC Holidays is targeting a 70,000 increase in carryings
on its summer 2001 Greece and Cyprus programme, after seeing a 50% growth in
bookings for the preview brochure launched last year.

The increase will give the operator 245,000 sales over the
next 12 months. Commercial director Photis Lambrianides agreed the target was
ambitious.

However, he claimed it was realistic on the back of strong
sales on the early edition brochure, which featured all of the operator’s
Cyprus programme and a selection of holidays in Greece.

“There is no reason why we cannot maintain this momentum,”
he added.

“Olympic is sold by all multiples, miniples and independents
so we have excellent distribution links. We also have very good prices.”

Lead in price for Cyprus, valid from May to October, is £245
per person for seven nights at the Mariala Hotel Apartments in Limassol during
May. The price is based on two sharing and includes flights and early-booking
discounts. T
he lead in price for Greece is £219 for 14 days at the Elena
Studios in Corfu. This is based on two sharing during the first two weeks of
May.
