BRITISH Airways has launched a new Internet-based travel
management portal aimed at agents and small to medium sized companies.
Your Travel Manager has been developed with technology
company GetThere.com and will allow the user to book hotels, car hire and
airline travel.
BA has spent three months testing the system and will offer
the technology to travel agents for their small to medium sized corporate
clients and to companies wishing to make a direct booking.
Agents will be able to set Your Travel Manager up as their
own business travel management system enabling them to tailor it, co-brand it
or link to their own site.
BA business to business leader for e-commerce division Simon
Parks-Smith said: “This technology represents a great opportunity for companies
to have access to low budget travel management services, without having to
invest in the excessive costs of new systems.”
