FORMER Virgin Travelstore managing director Ed Sims is
tipped to join Thomson Holidays as deputy managing director.
New chief operating officer Peter Rothwell starts his role
on Thursday after several months gardening leave following his departure from Airtours.
He is an admirer of Sims from their days at the Helmshore-based operator.
Industry sources expect Sims to come in as deputy to Thomson
Holidays managing director Shaun Powell. Sims left his job at Virgin
Travelstore on February 16 and is considering a number of opportunities.
