Donaldson quits Thomas Cook post

Report by Steve Jones

THOMAS Cook chief executive John Donaldson is quitting after
negotiating the sale of the company to German operator C&N Touristic.

He will be replaced by deputy chief executive and chief
financial officer Alan Stewart.

Sources said Donaldson’s departure is entirely amicable and
has been on the cards ever since he struck the £550 million deal with C&N.

Donaldson will remain on the board as non-executive director
and deputy chairman.
