TRAVEL 4 has increased the number of add-on packages and themed self-drives in its latest Canada brochure released this month.
It has also introduced Atlantic Canada for the first time with a 10-day round-trip escorted coach tour from Halifax in Nova Scotia. The tour costs from £671 excluding flights and visits Peggy’s Cove, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
New independent tours by rail and coach include a nine-day Canadian Rockies Gourmet Trail with stays in mountain lodges and a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer train.
Prices lead in at £1,386 including accommodation and transport.
Another addition is a three-day luxury spa break at Canadian Pacific Hotels’ Banff Springs property. Two-night prices from £344 include use of health and spa facilities and two treatments.
Travel 4 Canada product manager Allyson Smith said: “We have radically changed our self-drive programme with more themed itineraries, sightseeing and add-ons, and are repeating fully inclusive rates for campervans.
“We are also offering theatre tickets for city stays and helicopter tours of Vancouver. Montreal is also being added to our winter city breaks.”
Two of the new themed self-drives include a 14-day Lakeside Adventures package based on the national and provincial parks of Ontario, and a two-week itinerary from Calgary taking in Alberta’s Waterton Lakes National Park region, Banff and Jasper. Prices are from £684 and £982 respectively based on twinshare accommodation, car rental, insurance and driving kit.
