THOMSON Travel Group has sold the business travel division of Sibbald Travel to Leamington Spa-based Travel Management Group for an undisclosed sum.
Thomson bought the Scottish-based miniple in the spring. “The business travel office works well but is not what we do and made no sense to keep it,” said a Thomson spokesman.
Sibbald’s business travel division turns over £12m a year and takes Travel Management Group’s total turnover to £40m.
The company said it will retain all 20 staff. The office will be rebranded Travel Management from November 1.
