Unijet’s Highlights of Brazil tour combines a beach stay near Recife in the northeast with trips to the Amazon, Rio and Iguaçu Falls. Prices for the 14-day tour start at £2,309.

Last Frontiers can arrange a 17-day tour of Brazil for honeymooners, including a short stay at the Manary Praia Pousada, on the beach at Ponte Negra, close to Natal. An excursion is made to some prehistoric cave paintings and fossils in the remote interior. Prices start at £2,000.

Here, there are table mountains, caves, waterfalls and natural pools to discover while based in the old colonial mining town of Lençois. The 19-day tour costs from £3,034 per person.
