CARTA membership has many benefits
ASA MEMBER of both Artac and the Campaign for Real Travel Agents I am strongly of the opinion that membership of CARTA is well worth the increased fees proposed.
Access to Association of Independent Tour Operators’ companies via CARTA has enabled me to broaden my range and attract new, quality clients who would normally have booked direct. These clients are now loyal and trust me 100%.
I have no doubt that there are ARTAC members for whom CARTA membership is beneficial and would like to see closer ties between the two. Our business comprises both mass market and niche products and, above all, we want to give our clients a choice.
It is possible some ARTAC members do not understand what Carta is all about and therefore are not aware of the benefits that membership could bring.
Alongside the higher fees will come extra services via the new CARTA website, which will direct new clients into your offices – your first booking may well recoup the additional fees paid.
After all, £350 would barely buy you a small advertisement in a national or provincial newspaper.
