ABTAmust standup to tour operators
It’s time for ABTA to stop pussyfooting around tour operators who fail to release tickets on late bookings. The association’s code of conduct clearly states that tickets must be released.
I have been forced to write after both Elegant Resorts and Meon refused to forward documents to me without proof of payment. It makes you wonder what the point of bonding?
ABTA should come down hard on these operators and impose heavy fines. Travel consultants are under enough pressure already without this type of nonsense.
If operators don’t want to work with the trade, they should be kicked out of ABTA.
