Ryanair plans to offer free flights to passengers

RYANAIR hopes to offer free flights at off peak times
within the next three to four years.

The low-cost carrier intends to make up its revenue by
installing TV’s on board and charging passengers £1 to watch them.

Ancillary services such as hotel bookings, car rental
and shopping are among other ideas being considered which could make up the
shortfall in revenue.

Ryanair has already offered flights for as low as £5
at off-peak, mid-week times.

Meanwhile Ryanair is being sued in Belgium over
adverts attacking the fares of flag carrier Sabena.

Ryanair has launched an ad campaign promoting flights
to its new hub at Brussels Charleroi.
One advert says “Do Sabena’s high prices make you want to throw up?”. It
also carries a picture of the Manneken Pis – a fountain featuring a boy
urinating.
