Options business development director Sue Foxall has vowed to fight for the
ABTA presidency next April.
If
successful, she would become the first woman to hold the position for over 20
years.
“I’m
quite critical and outspoken but there is no point criticising if you are not
prepared to do something about. The time has come to either shut up or get on
with it and I have chosen to go for it,” she said.
The
first and last woman president of ABTA was Margaret Hook who was at the helm
for three years from 1977 to 1980.
Foxall
will be up against current president Stephen Bath – should he choose to stand
for re-election – who is eligible for one more year.
