advantage adopts instant message service

ADVANTAGE Travel Centres hopes to increase web-bookings by
adding an instant email service to its website, www.advantage4travel.com.

The new system, Chat4Travel, allows consumers to email questions
to a travel agent who can then respond instantly.

The agency consortium has adopted the system in recognition
of the fact most consumers only have one telephone line and have to log off the
website so they put a call into Advantage if they had a query about a holiday.
The system will go live on February 1.

Advantage sales and marketing director Colin O’Neill said:
”By enabling us to answer customer’s questions as they search our site,
Chat4Travelmeans that our members can deliver even better customer service. We
expect to see conversion rates improve significantly as a result.”
