AMADEUS has combined a number of its operations and created
a new business unit dedicated to marketing and developing its on-line
technology.
The unit, known as e-Travel, will be headed up by a number
of Amadeus executives.
As part of the change, the Amadeus web booking engine 1a-Res
has been re-named e-Travel Planitgo and Amadeus Corporate Traveller has become
e-Travel Aergo.
Amadeus executive vice president, commercial, David Jones
said: “Merging our on-line travel solution business, to create the new
e-Travel, combines our significant technical expertise with a unique global
reach, to provide airlines, corporations, travel agencies and other travel
partners with the best possible solutions, whatever their on-line travel needs.”
