ebookers sales up despite september 11

EBOOKERS has revealed sales of £180 million for 2001, an
increase of 76% on the previous year.

The on-line agency’s gross profits rose by 110% to £20.3
million, up from £9.7 million while operating costs rose 7%.

Chief executive officer Dinesh Dhamija said: “Bookings for
2002 have regained a strong upward momentum indicating that the effect of the September
11 tragedy on our business is now over.”
