SCOTLAND has been given an extra £4.75 million to improve
its marketing to key potential domestic and overseas visitors.
The money, from the Scottish Executive, comes on top of a 2002/2003
£28.1 million grant to enhance the country’s tourism following an industry
decline in numbers.
Tourism body VisitScotland will ensure the cash goes on key
initiatives including visits to international travel shows, a business tourism
campaign and developing opportunities for more direct flights to the country.
