TOURISM minister
Kim Howells has kick-started a campaign to get smaller operators to make full
use of the Internet for sales and marketing.
Howells launched
the ‘Go for IT’ initiative to highlight the benefits of doing business on-line.
A CD-ROM and video showing case studies of travel companies that have embraced
web technology have been produced to back the campaign.
The scheme will
also give small tourist operations access to free business advice.
