easyjet to launch trade website

EASYJET plans to launch a bookable website exclusively for
the use of agents.

The airline will not pay agents commission on sales, but is
encouraging them to charge a service fee on bookings.

The site, set to go live in December, will be similar to the
one operated by sister carrier Go. It will be password protected and enable
agents to track bookings, analyse data by destination, time period or
individual client.

Further developments will be introduced that will let agents
cancel or change bookings on-line.

Easyjet also plans to extend coverage of Go’s groups and
tours operators team to cover the combined network of both carriers. The plan
is to adopt Go’s policy of encouraging bookings of groups of more than eight
people by providing the flexibility and payment options necessary for this type
of sale.
