FORMER
Worldchoice managing director Julian Foster has finally jumped ship and joined
rival consortium Advantage Travel Centres.
“I
did not feel at home in Worldchoice and could think of no way how I could
stay,” said Foster.
A
year after resigning as managing director over the controversial setting up of
the Worldchoice shareholder scheme, Foster’s move will have reignited concerns
among members over the consortium’s commercial arm.
Explaining
his switch to Advantage, he reiterated his complaint that Worldchoice
Enterprises was not separate from the consortium, thus risking all members, and
investors had more control than members.
He
added: “If they had separated members from the enterprise organisation, I
might have stayed, but I did not feel at home.”
