GROWTH from the major operators has continued to slow down, according to latest Civil Aviation Authority figures.
In the year to September 1999, Air Travel Organisers’ Licence holders carried 26.2m passengers. This is a 6.8% rise on the same period the previous year but is far below the 11.1% rise from 1997 to 1998.
Passengers travelling with Thomson, Airtours and First Choice rose between 2%-4%. Only JMC Holidays showed a decline, of 1%.
