TRAVELCARE has bought Scottish agency-chain Bell Travel for
an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition of the 14-strong chain brings the total
number of Travelcare branches to 384.

A total of 12 Bell Travel branches are located in Scotland,
wit a further one in Darlington and one in Lancaster. They have combined annual
sales of more than £16 million.

As part of the acquisition, Travelcare will take on 66 Bell
Travel staff, including operations manager Craig Dempster who will become
regional sales manager.

Bell Travel managing director Val Foylan, who negotiated the
sale, has left after 13 years.
