Hotel staff in UK hotels are friendlier and more attentive than their colleagues in Europe, a survey has revealed.
The study, by marketing information group Taylor Nelson Sofres, was the result of more than 2,500 individual mystery customer assessments using a 10-point criteria including cleanliness, presentation of staff, greetings, restaurant service, efficiency, checkout service and sales skills.
Results showed UK staff far outstripped their counterparts in France, Holland and Belgium but were still missing significant sales opportunities.
