Carrick returns as Hoseasons boss

FORMER Airtours UK Leisure Group chief executive
Richard Carrick has returned to the industry after a seven-month gap as the new
chief executive of the Hoseasons Holiday Group.

Carrick was made redundant from his role as MyTravel
global development chief executive in December 2002.

He takes over from Hoseasons managing director Ken
Gaylard, who announced his retirement plans last month following a management
buy-out of the company.

Carrick, who spent nearly 10 years at the MyTravel
Group, formerly Airtours, said he sees “enormous growth potential” in
the UK self-catering sector.

“I was keen to join
Hoseasons not only because of its leadership status in the UK self-catering
sector which is currently experiencing real growth, but also because the
company is run in a way I believe companies should be – with a strong focus on
meeting customer needs through partnership between suppliers, staff and travel
agents.”
