In this module, we will look at some of the sights and attractions that draw visitors to New Mexico.

Whether you want dinosaurs, volcanoes or Native American Anasazi ruins, New Mexico’s famous natural beauty and ancient past have it covered. From Indian Country in the Northwest to Billy the Kid Country in the Southeast – where Billy himself lies buried (see top right) – our fascinating history sustains countless museums and heritage sites.

But it isn’t all about the past. Witness the spectacular mass hatching of free-tail bats at Lechuguilla Cave or the colourful Pinatafest festival and you’ll experience a living beauty and energy that are unique to New Mexico.
