THOMAS Cook is to announce redundancies in its on-the-road sales team following a review.
It is believed the changes are part of a restructure that will lead to area managers having responsibility for fewer shops over a wider area.
Responding to suggestions shop managers and staff are being targeted for job losses, a Thomas Cook spokeswoman stressed there would be no jobs lost on the high street. She said: “Thomas Cook can confirm it is currently reviewing its retail field management structure which excludes the role and responsibility of store managers and personnel. This review will impact on a small number of field sales roles and the company will be making an announcement in due course.”
