TRITON has this week started its Triton Search e-learning programme.
The mega-consortium trained three northeast agencies, including Henderson Travel, using Webex web technology. The system, which sees participants log in to conference sessions and speak using voice-over IP technology, was trialled by Worldchoice’s
12-shop retail network for internal meetings.
The interactive technology allows agents to type questions to the trainer using instant messaging.
Worldchoice Travel Enterprises managing director Bill Pickering said the technology will speed up the training of agents on Triton Search while also reducing the cost.
“Our members are countrywide so it’s very expensive to come to head office for training, just as it’s expensive for us to send trainers out to all our members,” he said.
“This technology is complementary to traditional classroom training.”
