Lally to leave Thomson – 27 Oct 2006

Thomson head of third party sales Jeanne Lally has announced she is to leave after 20 years at the high street agency.

A statement issued by the company on Friday said she “has decided that the time is now right for her to leave Thomson to pursue a number of new opportunities, including a consultancy position with the travel research business Radar.”

Derek Jones, Thomson sales director, said: “Jeanne’s a one-off. Over the past two decades she’s made a huge contribution to our business.

To many people in the travel industry, particularly the travel agent community, Jeanne has been the public face of the Thomson.  She has been the ultimate professional, and speaking personally, I am going to miss having Jeanne at my side. I would like to thank her for her loyalty and unfailing support over many years.”

Lally will remain at Thomson until the end of the year to ensure a smooth handover of her responsibilities
