Gang raids Surrey Travelcare branch – 24 Jan 2007

A Travelcare branch in Oxted, Surrey, was raided and staff were ordered to empty cash boxes by robbers.

Two female agents were ordered to stand up when a man entered the shop in Station Road at around 4.45pm on January 12.

Two more men came in and told the women the shop was going to be raided. They were then forced into an office and made to hand over a “substantial” sum of cash.

Detective Constable Peter Curley described the raid as “an extremely frightening incident”. “We need to find whoever was responsible,” he added.
