Lord Robert Winston to headline Triton conference – 1 Feb 2007

 Scientist and broadcaster Lord Robert Winston will headline this year’s Triton Conference, which is titled Evolution.

Lord Robert, who recently presented BBC television documentaries Super Human and Human Body, will look at how the travel industry has evolved and will continue to evolve in the future.

Former St Andrews Travel owner Andrew Dickson will also take to the stage with as yet unnamed industry figures from Thomas Cook, Airtours, Kuoni and Hoseasons.

Dickson, who set up and runs customer service consultancy the Wow Factor Consultancy, will gives his views on the travel sector.

Also in the line-up is shadow secretary of state for the environment Peter Ainsworth MP, who has campaigned on green issues for many years and futurologist Alan Whitaker.

ITV news presenter Alastair Stewart will act as moderator throughout the conference.

Travel Weekly’s sister publication Travolution will host three break out sessions on the impact of the Internet.

Meanwhile, Mike Green, chief executive of retail research firm Him, will share its data with delegates to help make them more profitable.

The conference, in Vilamoura, Portugal, from May 11 to May 13, will also focus on Triton Search, Triton Rooms, Triton Airfares and Triton Holidays.
