Airtours is offering discounts of 43% on the brochure price for aseven-night Caribbean cruise on Sundream, on December 12. The Mexican Waves cruise will start and end in Jamaica, calling at Cancun, Cozumel, Cuba, Isla de Pinos and Grand Cayman. The cruise now costs £399 for an inside cabin, a saving of £300 on the original fare.

Festival Cruises is offering discounts of 15% for bookings made before November 30 for Caribbean cruises’ new ship Mistral. Two itineraries are offered from January 8.The first calls at St Kitt’s, Antigua, Tortola, St Maarten and Martinique;the second at St Vincent, Barbados, Tobago, Grenada, Dominica and St Lucia. Prices before discounts start at £990 per person.
n port everglades deal for royal caribbean
Royal Caribbean International has signed a 10-year deal with Port Everglades in Florida to allow a guaranteed number of ships to berth there.The port plans to attract $240m in revenue by 2010.

Dubai is expected to give the go-ahead to building a dedicated cruise facility in Port Rashid to cater for a huge increase in vessels. International cruise ships visiting Dubai have increased from one a year in 1993 to 50 this year.
