Universal Parks and Resorts has revealed plans to open a new “mega attraction” based on The Simpsons at its Orlando and Hollywood parks.
Cartoon characters Homer and his family will join guests on the ride at the Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood parks.
The ride opens in spring 2008 after three years in development.
Universal is tight-lipped on the details but said the attraction would be based on visitors exploring the programme’s town of Springfield and include “high speed and lots of screaming”.
Speaking at the International Pow Wow convention, Universal Parks and Resorts chairman and chief executive Tom Williams said: “The Simpsons is a perfect complement to our brand of entertainment.”
