MyTravel Airwayshas become the first charter airline to gain IOSA safety accreditation from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Frank Pullman, managing director of MyTravel Airways, said the awarding of IOSA to the firm’s airline and engineering divisions following an operational safety audit was “a tremendous achievement” and reflected the airline’s “robust safety systems and commitment to safety”.
“It has been a long, but worthwhile project, as we put our existing operational safety and quality management processes and procedures to the test,” he said. “I believe that IOSA Registration is a true reflection of the high safety standards that MyTravel Airways strives to deliver each day.”
The IOSA programme measures performance against over 750 standards and recommended practices in aviation safety and operations.
