Thomas Cook Group begins trading – 19 June 2007

The Thomas Cook Group began trading today after the merger of MyTravel and Thomas Cook was successfully completed.


As of 8am this morning the listing of MyTravel shares was cancelled while ordinary shares in the new holding company were admitted to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority, as well as to trading on the London Stock Exchange.


Thomas Cook Group chairman Dr Thomas Middelhoff said: “I am delighted that we have been able to complete the merger in just over four months. We will now concentrate on delivering our plans to create additional shareholder value.”


The group will announce its pro forma interim results for the six months to April 30, 2007 on Wednesday June 27, 2007. 


The presentation will be made to analysts and will include analysis of the group’s pro forma interim results, commentary on current trading, and an update on integration plans.
