Holiday Inn Hotels has opened a new themed property adjacent to UK theme park Chessington World of Adventures.

InterContinental Hotels Group and Merlin Entertainments opened the 150 room Holiday Inn London Chessington last week.

The property has a safari theme to match Chessington’s zoo area and landscaped gardens. The rooms include 56 specially designed family rooms, with a private children’s sleeping area with flat screen televisions and games consoles.

Managed by the BDL Group, the hotel provides two eating options for its guests, Langata Brasserie and Grill plus the Marula Bar and Lounge.

Holiday Inn London Chessington has been designed for both leisure and business guest and has six meeting rooms.

IHG’s chief operating officer UK & Ireland Alexi Hakin said: “I am thrilled about the opening of the hotel and the opportunity it represents for IHG and Merlin Entertainment.

This is our first themed hotel and we anticipate that our guests will enjoy being located next to one of Europe’s most popular theme parks.”

Family rooms will be available from £122 per night including entry to the park, dinner and breakfast.
