Britannic buys DFDS Travel

BRITANNIC Travel has bought travel agency DFDSTravel for an undisclosed sum.

All DFDS Travel’s City office business will be relocated to Britannic’s City of London office and all existing staff will join Britannic.

Britannic is the UKpartner of First Travel Management, the global travel management alliance of which DFDSTravel in Denmark is also a partner.

The agency was put up for sale in July but was pulled off the market in September when a buyer could not be found. DFDSTravel has a turnover of £8m while Britannic’s turnover is in excess of £150m.
