Agents are to get first-hand security updates on the US during Visit USA’s roadshows in December.
About 300 agents are due to attend the roadshows, where the Department of Homeland Security will distribute information on US entry requirements.
Project director Tracy Thompson said: “This will be the first time agents have had security updates straight from the horse’s mouth.”
During the roadshows Visit USA will offer a preview of its latest advertising campaign that goes live on December 26.
There will be 15 exhibitors including Travel 4, Wyndham Hotels and Cruise America providing information on their products, answering agents’ questions and holding workshops.
Details will also be available on Visit USA’s online training programme with Travel Uni.
Field marketing agency the Network has won the contract to organise the roadshows, held at the Hilton, Gatwick, on December 4, Manchester United football club on December 5 andthe Crowne Plaza in Glasgow on December 6.
