Prestige Holidays is to recruit new staff and provide more support for travel agents under new sales manager John Joinson.
Joinson, who takes over from Colin Sanderson at the end of this month, said the tour operator would be seeking business development managers and marketing staff.
The company will also be integrating its sales staff and reservations team. He said: “Reservations is the most important team so it’s vitalthat they work more closely with sales.”
Prestige has a new look for its e–mail communications, window display and paper booking forms and will be sending these out to agents in the coming weeks.
Joinson said: “The new look is quite distinctive so anyone who sees a Prestige advert will recognise it immediately. It also prevents imitation of the brand.”
Joinson has previously worked for Thomson Holidays, Meon Villas, Alamo Rent A Car and Worldspan. Sanderson is moving to Spain where he has set up his own company.
Prestige Holidays chairman and managing director John Dixon said: “John has already proved he has strong sales and management skills. He has also suggested a number of excellent initiatives for supporting travel agents and the business development team.
“I am confident he is an excellent replacement for Colin, who I am sad to see go.”
